Talent 1 Media

Talent 1 Media was created in 2005 in Los Angeles by passionate filmmakers, artists, musicians, and community leaders whose goal was to impact and influence the world around them. Talent 1 Media seeks to awaken believers to the call of transforming culture through the medium of Arts and Media. After becoming an official non-profit 503(c)(3) status organization, our faiths were ready to be put into action.

In March of 2006, Talent 1 Media hosted it’s first annual T1M Filmfest at Biola University with over 600 people in attendance screening 10 original shorts and the Academy Award nominated short film ‘MOST.’ Following the festival, Talent 1 Media partnered with World Vision and Eastwind film hosting screening events around Southern California raising awareness and finances for the AIDS Africa project. Also in the summer of 2006, Talent 1 Media released its first compilation DVD which contained all shorts submitted to the T1M filmfest that year as well as ‘MOST’ creating a unique opportunity for the filmmakers to raise finances for the AIDS Africa project through their films.

In 2007 and 2008, we again joined forces with filmmakers of the past and some new to tackle one of the most prevalent injustices in our world today; Human Trafficking. Through partnerships with community organizations, we seeked to raise awareness by providing a thought-provoking environment and a practical resource for individuals to take action. Now in 2009, we are gearing up for our 4th Annual Talent 1 Media Film Festival with free Seminars and Workshops, Awareness Resources Center, Live music and of course more great short films! One of our main goals as a non-profit film/media organization is to create and facilitate an environment/community for filmmakers and artists to increase their talents and passions for a real purpose or cause. We act as a resource & network for our artists and though we strongly encourage and strive for quality, our film festival isn’t competitive based and we don’t have awards. The Formula is simple: Get the public out to watch Free, fresh & original, independent short films while exposing them to issues of injustice. Moving individuals into action through awareness and the celebration of arts and talents is an ongoing mission for Talent 1 Media.
